This week, 1/2B worked together to create this lovely poppy artwork piece for Remembrance Day. We used paints and crayons to make lots of different poppies to create a sunset. The children had so much fun being creative and seeing our piece come together.

We discussed the meaning and significance of Remembrance Day and why we wear poppies. Our art piece represents this line from the poem “For the Fallen” by Laurence Binyon:

At the going down of the sun and in the morning
We will remember them.
