It was such a pleasure to take both classes into the ‘Everywhereium’ today. Extending its use from Grimm and Co’s residency, it was set up with a WW2 focus, full of artefacts, replicas, photos, newspapers and a personal touch of my own grandma’s army uniform and personal belongings from the war. Children explored shelves and drawers crammed with stories through objects and were challenged to pick an object each to write about. The twist was that they had to write as if they were the object, which had absorbed the memories and emotions of the past. We cannot wait to share our outcomes.
