Our visit to Manor Lodge

Our visit to Manor Lodge

Today the children enjoyed a fantastic educational visit to Manor Lodge, where they took part in an immersive, research-based experience exploring Tudor life and the fascinating story of Mary, Queen of Scots. Throughout the day, pupils stepped back in time to learn about how people lived during the Tudor period, discovering more about daily life, buildings, traditions and the important historical events connected to the site.

The visit allowed children to explore the historic grounds and take part in engaging activities that helped bring history to life. Through discussion, observation and hands-on learning, pupils developed a deeper understanding of the challenges and experiences of people living during this period.

It was wonderful to see the children asking thoughtful questions, making links to their classroom learning and showing great enthusiasm throughout the visit. Experiences like this help bring history beyond the classroom and make learning truly memorable.
